With the recent addition of the latest technology 4kw Amada laser cutter from Japan, HSM and Laserstream, can lead the way in cutting technology and offer a complete cutting and finishing service to our customers.
Lasercutting
With two laser cutters on offer in our new premises in Penrose, the option of laser cutting is fast, cost efficient and versatile. It is ideal for intricately detailed work or large fast component manufacture. The Amada laser cutter is engineered to provide high speed processing and ultra precise accuracy. The Profile laser has a cantilevered arm and open work area and is able to fit oversize sheets for greater flexibility.
Waterjet Cutting
Water jet cutting (either high pressure water or abrasive assisted) can cut a wider range of materials up to a greater thickness (up to 200mm thick) We can also offer the high heat Plasma cutter which effectively cuts mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium. For further efficiency HSM can combine both plasma and water jet cutting on the same component – plasma cutting the less critical shapes and water jet cutting the detail.
Turret Punch
The CNC Turret Punch is another option that is particularly effective for repetitive component manufacture in sheet materials up to 6mm thick. This is a cost effective method for producing repetitive components which are made up of predominantly straight lines and holes. It can also transform graphic images into punched patterns. With it’s fast set up time and high punch speed, it is a powerful and cost effective way of cutting and punching out a wide variety of shapes.
Our experienced staff can discuss with you what the most efficient cutting process is for your requirements depending on the material and its thickness, and the cutting result required. We accept CAD files by email or disc. We are also aple to programme from your drawings or samples. Our auto nesting software and skilled programmers are able to maximise efficient nesting of all the components for cost efficient material usage. We are happy to provide a quote for a job including materials and finishing or a quote for cutting only.
With the combined HSM business we can offer under one roof, a complete service to our customers – from material supply, CAD drawing, CNC programming, cutting, laser marking or etching, folding, welding, fabricating and finishing.
